Portrait of Louis Cerclé

About

A web developer in Brest, one single point of contact

My name is Louis Cerclé and I build websites and web apps for tradespeople, shops, non-profits and small businesses. I am based in Brest, France, as a registered sole proprietor, and I work with clients all over France, remotely or in person.

My path was not a straight line: a history degree, an engineering school, then a two-year degree in software development. I then worked in the R&D team of an e-commerce software company in Brest, on its back office. From that detour I kept one habit: understanding your business before writing the first line of code.

With me you have one single point of contact, from the first call to the launch. I explain my choices without jargon, the quote is detailed and free, and once it is paid for, the website is yours, just like your domain name.

Being in Brest matters too: I built or took over the websites of the Zatovo charity and the Office des Retraités de Brest, and I can meet you in person to talk about your project.

What I care about

  • Performance

A slow website drives visitors away and drops on Google. I aim for light, fast pages on mobile and desktop alike: this website scores 100 for Lighthouse performance on desktop.

  • Accessibility

Readable contrast, keyboard navigation, alternative text: I follow the WCAG guidelines so that everyone can use your website.

  • Transparent pricing

My prices are published on the Services page, the quote is free with no commitment, and non-profits get 20% off website creation.

My detailed background, degrees and experience are on my resume.
